About Occupational Therapy Brisbane

It’s an expanding specialist private practice helping adults who experience neurological conditions to live better.  

We’re looking for someone, maybe like you, seeking clinical variety to grow their therapy skills to serve people who live with complex conditions such as acquired brain injury, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and stroke. 

You can expect the classic OT service portfolio such as home assessment, assistive technology  but what sets us apart is a commitment to Lifestyle and Cognitive Rehabilitation, what we refer to as Memory Health.

We’re a perfectly imperfect practice, growing, evolving and super dedicated to building our team of neurological OTs ( Memory Health Warriors) to best serve our clients. 

About The Role

You will be required to assess, design and implement OT programs for people with neurological conditions and complex care needs in the home, work, aged care setting or our growing clinic. 

You will liaise directly with patients, their family, case managers, GP practices and insurance providers to deliver a personalised neurological OT services.

Other aspects of the role include:

  • Training carers and community members
  • Research, technical writing and data management
  • Equipment and technology use
  • Education content development

We ask for you to commit 2- 3 days ( about 12 -20 hours) per week as a minimum.

  • Smart personal appearance, excellent verbal and written communication, effective organisation and time management, sound IT skills, and most importantly has the energy and enthusiasm to be a great occupational therapist.
  • Meet a national police check
  • Own a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance 
  • Current CPR certification
  • AHPRA registration
  • Report writing is a key part of the practice, we will be looking for examples of high quality reports that will meet the expectations of our clients and referrers.
