What you’ll do
- Functional, cognitive and neurological assessments.
- Intervention plans that are practical and client and family-centred.
- Home modifications and neuro- assistive technology trials (with support).
- Documentation that’s efficient and defensible (templates, tools + coaching).
- Collaborative work with referrers and the client’s support team.
Where you’ll work
Location: Brisbane North (typical radius ~20 km from Stafford).
Settings: clinic sessions + community visits (home, workplace, telehealth).
Travel: mileage reimbursed per km; travel time paid as per policy.
Hours: full-time preferred; part-time considered (0.6–0.8 FTE).
Growth, CPD & progression
CPD allowance: $1,000 per year + paid study time.
Skills map: neuro assessment, cognitive rehab, home mods/AT, documentation mastery, stakeholder communication.
Progression pathway: New Grad → Early & Middle Career Clinician (with special interest options in cognitive rehab, Parkinson’s, neuro upper limb, dementia reablement or complex neuro -AT).
Support: admin help for bookings + reports; templates and checklists for quality + speed.

Supervision & your first 90 days
Helps you move from “new grad” to confident clinician—without burnout.
Weekly 1:1 supervision (case reviews, skills coaching)

Monthly CPD deep-dive (journal club, guest specialists, AT demos)
Your 90-day ramp (high-level):
Days 1–14 – Foundations: shadow + co-treat; documentation workflow; safety in community practice; AT/home-mods orientation.
Days 15–45 – Guided practice: small, curated caseload; scripted assessments; joint sessions with supervisor; targeted skill packs.
Days 46–90 – Confidence: gradually increase contact hours; lead care plans; present a case at team CPD; agree a personalised growth plan.
What success looks like here (realistic KPIs)
- Contact hours aligned to experience (ramping through 90 days).
- Timely, succinct notes and clear care plans (we teach this).
- Client outcomes and referrer satisfaction—not churn.
Salary, benefits & employment type
- Salary range: AUD $70,000–$77,500 + super (experience-based).
- Employment type: Full-time (part-time considered).
- Extras: CPD allowance, paid supervision time, km reimbursement, laptop/kit, flexible start/finish by agreement.

- AHPRA-registered (or pending) Occupational Therapist.

Do I need Australian work rights?
Yes. You’ll need valid Australian work rights (citizen, PR, or eligible visa) and AHPRA registration (or evidence of pending registration).
Do I need a car and licence?
Yes. You’ll travel for community visits in Brisbane metro. You’ll need a current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
How is travel paid?
We reimburse kilometres at per km and pay travel time as per our policy which is your hourly rate. Typical travel radius is ~20 km from Stafford, Brisbane.
What does supervision look like week to week?
You’ll have weekly 1:1 supervision, a weekly case conference, and a monthly CPD deep-dive. We also offer ad-hoc “door-open” support.
When can I start?
We run ongoing intakes with quarterly cohorts. If you’re a current final-year student, apply now and we’ll align your start date around graduation/AHPRA.
Is this full-time only?
Full-time is preferred; we consider part-time ([e.g., 0.6–0.8 FTE]) for the right candidate.
What’s the caseload mix?
